In-house Social Media Workshops in Herts & Essex

Planning continues

May 14, 2013
With only 4 weeks to go until the 4th Harlow Business Exhibition, there are 18 Stands available.  The target is to sell them all before the pre-show meeting on Tuesday (21st).

Harlow Chamber of Commerce has its 2013 AGM on Thursday (I wonder how many will turn up!!)

I'm looking forward to meeting Colin Crooks from Tree Shepherd later today.  He has a mission to create a million new jobs across the UK by encouraging the creation of new Social Enterprises.

Less than 5 weeks

May 8, 2013
The 'biggest business event in the East of England' is now less than 5 weeks away.

Stands are selling well (20 left out of 135) and advertising (Heart radio and the Harlow Star) is on track.

Preparing for the pre-Show meeting on May 21st,

Meeting the people at Rye House Go Karts today to discuss a prize.

Also looking forward to the Harlow Chamber meeting at Passmores Academy next week.

OMG - only 6 weeks until the 4th Harlow Business Exhibition

April 27, 2013
June 11th gets ever nearer.

Hopefully, most things are in place.  30 more Stands are available.  Heart radio are running ads for the next few days which should result in more bookings.

Parking is sorted, catering arranged, lots of entertainment in the main arena and Saira Hamilton, Masterchef semi-finalist is giving the keynote talk before the 21 seminars covering a range of topics.

The pre-Show meeting on May 21st will give Sponsors and Exhibitors the chance to meet each other and ask questions.

What have I forgotten?

Lots going on this week

April 22, 2013
This week I'll be concentrating on the Harlow Business Exhibition.  Heart Radio will be running ads to help us sell the last few Stands.

I'm looking forward to the HBE Board meeting on Thursday and also to the April meeting of the Newport Business Association on Friday

The week ahead

April 14, 2013
I am looking forward to the Harlow Business Exhibition tour of Parliament tomorrow.

I am doing a Social Media workshop for Spectrum Family Law on Friday.

Interesting people

April 8, 2013
I've met some interesting people recently.

On Friday I met Colin Crooks from The Tree Shepherd - he wants to create 1 million new jobs by setting up Social Enterprise 'hubs' all over the UK.

Dr David Hall from The Ideas Centre is running a Taster morning in Harlow on Wednesday - that should be interesting.

Tomorrow I'll be distributing the latest version of BusinessLink Harlow around the town.  1000 copies are waiting.

Meanwhile I'm continuing to sell Stands for the 4th Harlow Business Exhibition on June 11th.  95 down, 43 to go!!

Sad news about Maggie Thatcher - but we all have to go some time.

Bloody Gulf Stream

April 3, 2013
Still freezing outside.  Am now really fed up with this cold weather.

Hopefully it will get a bit warmer next week.

Meetings this week with colleagues at Harlow Business Mentors and with Social Entrepreneur Colin Crooks, author of "How to make a million jobs"

Looking forward to the second Taster morning of the Ideas Centre next week.

Happy Easter

March 28, 2013
Right - that's it for a few days (apart from a short meeting tomorrow!).

Looking forward to a rest.  Shame it's not a bit warmer.

Happy Easter everyone.

(and don't forget to treat every Easter Monday news headline with caution!!)

Tag-Check and other matters

March 15, 2013
The Harlow Chamber of Commerce meeting on Wednesday was well-attended and we had two excellent speakers.

Richard Morris form The Giving Machine spoke about Givenomics and then Mike Clargo from Tesseracts introdiced the concept of measuring intangibles.

I've since opened a Tag-Check account.- this will allow me to ask people what they thought about personal interactions with me.

So Spring hasn't arrived yet!

March 7, 2013
After a beautiful day on Tuesday, the cloud has returned and it looks like it's going to get cold again.

I suppose it was a bit optimistic to think that Spring had come in early March!

It's still nice to see the bulbs coming up in the garden and some early dafodils.

Stands for the Harlow Business Exhibition are going well and the Seminar & Arena programmes are just about complete.

I'm looking forward to the Chamber of Commerce meeting at GSK next week - we have two great speakers.
